Seed starting with Jiffy® peat pellets supports stronger root growth, easy transplanting, and cost savings compared with buying plants. Our fine netting is made from cornstarch, a renewable resource. The netting allows root aeration and makes transplanting easy; plant the pellet and all. The 36mm pellet size is ideal for flowers and small-rooted vegetables and herbs. Peat can retain up to 20 times its weight in water, which helps keep fragile seedlings moist without drowning them, and it also aerates and improves soil drainage so roots can breathe, grow, and better absorb nutrients. The greenhouse humidity dome helps seeds stay moist during germination and is reusable.
